How Orbio Chat works

Orbio Chat is one chat for every major AI model, with private models sealed in your browser. Open orbio.so and type. Your first 20 messages are free, with no account.

When your free messages run out, the Send button becomes Sign in. When your balance runs out, it becomes Top up.

Every message goes one of three ways. Private is the switch on the chat box, and Zero retention is a switch in the model menu.

In every mode, we keep usage records to bill and run the service: the model or tool, token counts, cost and timing. We don’t store the text of your prompts or the answers. The Privacy Policy has the details.

1. 1Your browser encrypts the message to a key held inside an enclave at Phala or NEAR AI.
2. 2Orbio relays the sealed message without being able to read it.
3. 3The model answers inside the enclave, and only your browser can open the answer.
4. 4Your browser checks the provider’s evidence for that enclave before showing the answer.
5. 5A line above the answer says Verified, with the provider and the number of checks. Tap it to read each check.

Billing is tied to the proof. A private answer is only billed if its evidence verified, so if the proof fails, the answer is held back and that request isn’t charged.

Private protects your messages and the model’s answers. A few things work differently, and it’s worth knowing which:

• Tools. What the chat sends to a tool, such as a search, a page address, a media prompt or a file, goes to that tool’s provider as a normal request. Every call shows on screen, and you can tap to see it.
• Your account, your payments and your usage records. Private protects what you say, not who you are.
• Photos. Private models can’t see them yet, and the chat box tells you so. Text from your files does go inside the sealed message.

Your chats are saved in this browser, encrypted on your device. We don’t receive that copy, so:

• They don’t follow you to another browser or device.
• Clearing your browser’s data deletes them, and we can’t restore them.
• Deleting a chat asks first, because that’s the only copy.

On an empty chat, tap Temporary on the chat box. The chat is never saved in this browser and ends when you close or reload the page. You can untick it until you send your first message, and after that it stays temporary. New chat is the way out.

It only changes what this browser keeps. Billing records stay, and so does anything a tool received, anything the agent made and, on an open model, what its provider received. It’s separate from Private, which is about who can read your message, so you can use them together.

Tap the model on the chat box to open the menu. You can search it, and each model shows its price. With Private on, you see the models that run sealed, in two tabs: All and Uncensored.

Uncensored models answer with fewer content filters, so what they write can be explicit, offensive or wrong. They need a sign-in and are marked 18+. Everything in the Terms still applies to them.

For a chat that uses tools, pick a larger model. Very small ones tend to answer in words rather than act.

This list is live, from the same catalogue as the chat’s menu, so it changes as models come and go. Prices are list prices per million tokens, in and out. Agents can read it as JSON.

Orbio connects you to independent providers, and each one works under its own terms. They can change over time, and the Privacy Policy has the full list.

Orbio Chat is an agent. It picks its own tools and decides when it’s finished, and you can tap the line above an answer to see every step. Without an account it has web search and page reading. Signed in, it also has:

The chat asks you first before it posts or sends in your name, deletes something, changes what’s live or writes to a database. A yes runs it, and a no stands for the rest of that turn. Other tools run without asking and are charged to your balance. Press Stop at any time to end a turn.

AI can make mistakes, and a page it reads can try to steer it, so check what it does. You’re responsible for what it does under your account. Connect social accounts from your dashboard.

Ask for an image or a video in plain words. You need to be signed in. Images are usually about a cent each, and video costs more. If your balance can’t cover one, the chat shows its price and an Add credit button, and nothing is charged. After you pay by card, it runs the same message again.

Images and video are made by independent providers, under their own moderation. They can refuse a prompt, a reference image or a result, Orbio can’t override that, and a refused job isn’t charged. Media prompts are tool calls, so they stay outside the seal.

Providers host each file for at least seven days and we don’t copy it, so download what you want to keep.

Tap +, drop a file anywhere on the page, or paste it. Files are read in your browser, including PDF, Word, Excel and PowerPoint, and nothing is uploaded just by attaching them. What the chat sends from them goes out with your message.

A scan or a locked PDF has no text to read, and the model will tell you. Photos need a model that can see them, and Private models can’t yet. Sending a photo also needs a balance over $10, so it isn’t part of the free messages.

There’s no subscription. You pay for what you use, from one balance, after each request completes and at the prices shown in the chat.

Add credit by card from the top bar, from $5 to $2,000. Credit is sold below list price, and the discount changes over time. Before you pay, the panel shows the whole breakdown: the credit, a 5% platform fee and card processing at cost.

Auto top-up buys credit again when your balance falls under a floor you set, from $1 to $1,000, for an amount you set, from $5 to $500. You can turn it off whenever you like. Purchases are final once completed, except where the law requires a refund. The Terms have the details.

Sign in with email, Google or a wallet. You must be 18 or older to use Orbio. Email and Google accounts pay by card. Wallet accounts are separate and can’t be joined to them.

Your account also comes with an API key that spends the same balance, in your dashboard. The developer docs explain how to use it. To delete your account or your data, email hello@orbio.so from the address on the account.
